The leading edge of an ominous storm front moves toward Florence on Monday in this shot taken a mile south of town along US-77. Storms with heavy rain and some hail rolled in from Saline County and spawned warnings of tornadoes near Ramona and between Peabody and Hillsboro, although no reports were received of funnels being observed. Extensive crop damage was reported northwest of Durham and winds of 60 mph were recorded in Hillsboro.
