Commencement exercises of Marion High School will be held next Thursday evening. The graduation class this year is a large one, numbering thirty.

The Aulne State Bank closed Friday on account of shortages in the bank’s accounts, occasioned, it is alleged, by defalcations of the cashier, V.O. Johnson. Shortage at the bank is said to be somewhere around eighty thousand dollars.

Sheriff Armstrong brought in two men the last of the week who are thought to be the ones wanted in connection with the murder at Peabody some weeks ago when an oil worker was killed during a crap games.
