The temporary bridge over the drainage canal just south of town is being built and probably within a week and a half travel can be resumed on the regular road between here and the oil fields south.

The settlement of the estate of Herbert M. Thorp was made in the Probate Court Monday. The final statement shows that $193,727.81 passed through the hands of the administrators, besides a real estate mortgage on hand of $6,750.00. The court awarded Mr. M.S. Bryan, one of the administrators, 3½ percent of the money collected, or $6,780.46.

A flowing well on the Seibel, 20-21-5, southeast of Florence, which came in Wednesday evening, has caused a good bit of excitement.

The new Hospital board met the first of the week and organized. Mrs. Roy Sumner was made chairman, Dr. Coutant, secretary, and Glenn Lilley, treasurer. Other members of the board are E.R. Sandberg and Mrs. J.H. Ogden. The Hospital report shows the running expenses for the past year to have been $5,464.04 and the year closed with $349.54 in the treasury.

H.H. Dunn has purchased the place now occupied by Irvin See and family in the southeastern part of town. Mr. and Mrs. See and family expect to move next week to Towanda.

Capt. Spangler of Lost Springs, who is representing the Capper publications, has been here on business this week.

Miss Beth Frazer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Frazer of this city and Mr. Fred McNicol of Lost Springs, were united in marriage Wednesday, November 10th, at the home of the bride’s parents. Mr. McNicol is connected with the McNicol Nursery at Lost Springs.
