The Turkey Day football game played by the Marion and Wellington high school teams at Wellington resulted in a scoreless tie. It was probably the best game in which the Marion team had played during the season. Coach Moneypeny is to be congratulated upon the team he has made out of practically new material.

Mr. and Mrs. Homer Hoch and children left Wednesday for Washington, D.C., where they will live during the coming season of Congress.

D. Lewis, a Marion boy who has been in the building construction business for some years, is making good in a big way. He has handled several big jobs in the past few years. He is, at present, superintendent of construction on the big $500,000 high school building at Pittsburg, this state.

Mr. and Mrs. Neils Olsen of the Aulne neighborhood returned last Friday from a visit in their old home in Denmark. It had been many years since they had been there and they found things much changed.

The trip back across the Atlantic was a very stormy one and they thought for a time they might not make it back. One seaman was washed overboard by the high seas.

The Ladies Society of the Federated churches will hold their annual Bazaar Dec. 8th in the Masonic Hall. The bazaar will open at 2:30 p.m.

Supper will be served beginning at 6 o’clock. The menu is fried chicken, creamed potatoes, sweet potatoes, baked beans, hot rolls and butter, cabbage salad, relish, cranberry jelly, apple pie, and coffee.
