The new motor highway from Oklahoma City to Lincoln has been marked the entire distance. As stated, business men subscribed enough money to pay for the marking for several miles each way from town. In order to perfect an organization to “name, promote and advertise” the highway, a meeting will be held at Herington Oct. 22 where three representatives of each town will cast one combined vote.

The district court in session has passed upon cases since our last issue as follows: Those admitted to citizenship: Bernard Stubby, Peter Fiedler, Emil August Rindt, George Weitzel, Philip Stenzel, William Henry Meyer, George Klein, Richard Tessmann, Carl William Linnemann, Christ Kaiser, Ernest Rindt, William Rindt, and Cornelius Jacob Epp.

Marion High School won its third straight victory in football last Friday when they completely swamped the Douglass team by a score of 72-0. Great machine this season. The next game is here this Saturday with Wichita High, and from all dope it will be well worth seeing.

C.F. Pantle is doing great work in resurfacing the greens at the country club golf course and the course is now in the best condition it has ever been.

Messrs. Harry Rogers, Robert Florer and Paul Hanstine, Mrs. Robert Florer, and Misses Eldena Williamson, Dorothy Bowlby and Helen Florer were to Lost Springs last night to put on the entertainment for the evening, of their great community day. It goes without saying that it was a good one.

Marvin Peterson, who for several months, worked in the Sam Haldeman barber shop, has purpchased the shop and took charge Monday of this week. After a vacation, Mr. Haldeman will continue to work in the hope.
