150-year family farms to be honored
Kansas Farm Bureau plans to begin recognizing sesquicentennial farms that have been in the same family for 150 years.
Farms must be 150 years old by Dec. 31 to qualify.
It will be part of the bureau’s annual “Century Farm” program, which honors farms spanning 100 years within a single family of owners or operators.
Deadline for consideration in 2021 is May 15. Applications for both programs are available at county Farm Bureau offices and at www.kfb.org/centuryfarm.
