Activities will fill Central Park this Saturday as part of Summerfest ’96. Temporary tattoos, face painting, and food booths are planned along with a horseshoe tournament, a farmers market, and many other activities, including a 45-minute tour of Marion by horse-drawn buggy, a softball tournament, and entertainment by Bob and the Boys and Bones Ownbey. The day will conclude with Pawnee Rock of Emporia playing at Luta Creek Stage from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

A fund has been established to help with medical expenses of Justin Bayes of Herington, who was seriously burned Saturday during the demolition derby at Marion County Fair in Hillsboro.
