Two scholarships of $300 each were presented when St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary had its annual meeting and dinner Thursday night. Alan Bina, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bina, received the Hospital Auxiliary’s scholarship, and Sue Fruechting, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Fruechting, received the James Wheeler Memorial Scholarship.
Casey Case turned in another superior performance Saturday afternoon on the gridiron when the Cowley County Pacemaker Patrol ruined Butler County Community College’s homecoming, 21-20.
Sandy Maggard is guest artist this month at Marion City Library. Her oil paintings of flowers decorate the display board on the north wall of the library and will remain there until Nov. 1.
