Happy Hustlers
Marion Happy Hustlers 4-H Club met March 1 at Marion County Lake Hall.
Kaylie Morrison gave a talk about how she gets her steer, Norman, ready for shows. Ryder Kraus’s talk, called “Picture Perfect,” showed members how to get photographs ready for the fair. ”Blast Off” was Dylan Kraus’s title of her talk about her rockets. Taryn Kraus demonstrated how to make a pop bottle geranium.
Thirty-one members answered roll call by naming a project goal. Three leaders and nine parents attended.
Rylee Thomas led the flag salute, and Taryn Kraus the 4-H pledge. Treasurer Ryker Salsbury reported a balance of $2,058.15.
Noah Schmidt, parliamentarian, reminded members to speak up during meetings.
Collection tubs and posters will be put up around town for an upcoming food drive in memory of Doris Winkler.
Music leader Jaxon Salsbury led in singing, “This Little Light of Mine” and “Happy Birthday” to those who had March birthdays.
Recreation leader Ryker Salsbury led a game of heads or tails.
The next meeting will be April 5.
