Wilbur H. “Bill” Janzen, 91, died July 22 at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.
Born Sept. 22, 1919, in Hillsboro, to Herman H. and Justine (Kablanow) Janzen, he graduated from Peabody high School in 1936.
He married H. Louise Anderson in 1939.
He farmed near Florence and was a mail carrier in Florence and Marion.
Siblings Roger, John, Hank, Elmer, and Lilly Janzen, Ruby Walters, and Francis Warhurst preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Louise, of Marion; a son, Edward of Fargo, N.D.; two daughters, Jean Knoll of Wichita and Donna Linaman of Poulsbo, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday at Marion Christian Church.
Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with the church and Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St, Marion KS 66861.
