The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
K-15 near milemarker 138:
Kenneth W. Giesbrecht, 41, 612 Lawrence St., Durham, was southbound on K-15 near milemarker 138, in a 2001 Dodge truck at 5:45 a.m. Nov. 9, when a deer ran into the road and was hit. The driver was not injured.
Nighthawk Road near 140th Road:
Gerry Anthony Donelson, age not provided on sheriff’s report, 128½ N. Walnut St., Apt. A, Peabody, was southbound on Nighthawk Road near 140th Road in a 1995 Plymouth Neon at 10:30 p.m. Nov. 11, when a deer ran into the road and was hit. The driver was not injured.
Sunflower Road near 160th Road:
David L. Penwell, 60, 112 Jefferson St., Marion, was northbound on Sunflower Road near 160th Road in a 1998 GMC truck at 1 p.m. Nov. 16, when a deer entered the road and was struck. Echo Penwell, 58, same address as driver, was a passenger in the truck.
Damages were estimated at more than $1,000 and no injuries were reported.
Nighthawk Road near 130th Road:
Russell R. Jost, 49, 2125 Jade Road, Hillsboro, was northbound on Nighthawk Road near 130th Road in a 2003 Ford truck, owned by Ag Service Inc., Whitewater, at 4:10 p.m. Nov. 16, when two deer ran from a west ditch and one was struck.
Damages were estimated at more than $1,000 and no injuries were reported.
U.S. 56 near K-15:
Joseph L. Bussey, age not on sheriff’s report, was westbound on U.S. 56 near K-15 in a 1998 Ford Escape at 2:35 a.m. Nov. 18, when a deer ran onto the road and was struck. The driver was not injured.
