These accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

K-15 near 210th Road

A 2001 Oldsmobile passenger car, driven by Alta Mae Huffington, 84, Hutchinson, struck a deer on K-15 near 210th Road at 12:13 a.m. Oct. 6, when the deer came from a ditch and the driver could not avoid hitting it.

3500 block of Limestone Road

Todd A. Leach, 43, 315 Roosevelt St., Tampa, was not injured when his 2002 Buick passenger car left the road on Limestone Road, entered a west ditch, and rolled three times. The accident occurred at 7:15 a.m. Oct. 6.

140th Road near U.S. 77

Lillian Leppke, 89, 2023 140th Road, Marion, was westbound on 140th Road near U.S. 77 in a 2009 Ford Fusion at 3 p.m. Oct. 7, when she swerved to avoid hitting a deer and struck a mailbox owned by Joyce Padgett, 2313 140th Road, Florence.

Remington Road near 230th

Debra K. Steele, 51, 1906 275th Road, Marion, lost control of her 1999 Oldsmobile passenger car on loose rocks on Remington Road near 230th at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 9, causing the car to enter a ditch.

Old Mill Road near 50th

The driver of 2002 Chevrolet Malibu, Wesley James Shaw, 16, 408 Sycamore St., Peabody, was injured at 9:41 a.m. Oct. 10, when his car struck a bridge on Old Mill Road. The driver told authorities he reached for his iPod and the vehicle drifted right and struck a bridge. The vehicle continued down the road, entering an east ditch where it stopped. The car was registered to Bonnie K. Shaw, of the same address as the driver.

Peabody ambulance transported the driver to Newton Medical Center.

1300 block of 190th Road

Jordan Lee Riggs, 17, 590 Norwood Road, Peabody, was driving a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee on 190th Road near Nighthawk at 7:20 a.m. Oct. 11, when the driver fell asleep and the vehicle drifted into the north ditch, rolling over. The vehicle was registered to Jesse Riggs, of the same address as the driver.

The driver was transported by Marion ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital.

U.S. 56 near 320th Road

A road sign was damaged at 7:55 a.m. Oct. 12 when a 2007 Dodge Nitro driven by Jared Anthony Folse, 24, Fort Riley, left the road on U.S. 56.
