These accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
Diamond Road at 310th Road
Visibility impaired by dust was blamed in an accident at 4:25 p.m. July 23.
Randy Gene Hendrickson, 35, of Pretty Prairie was slowing his northbound 1990 Ford F-15 pickup to turn east.
Justin R. Beetch, 19, of Abilene, also driving north, did not see the pickup in time and swerved a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban he was driving, sideswiping the Ford and ended up in a ditch, deputies reported.
James D. Parmley, 33, of Cedar Point was a passenger in the Ford. The Chevy was registered to Greg Beetch of Abilene. No injuries were reported.
Goldenrod Road south of 170th Road
Four teenagers were injured when their car rolled onto its top in a ditch after its driver swerved to miss two dogs at 9 p.m. July 26.
Deputies identified the driver as Megan Dawn Schafer, 17, of 304 S. Main St., Hillsboro, and the passengers as Jenae K. Koontz, 18, of Galva; Devin Lee Abernathy, 18, of McPherson; and Christopher Allen Schafer, 19, of 302 W. 3rd St., Lot 7, Hillsboro.
The males were taken by Marion ambulance to St. Luke Hospital. The females were taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital. All but Koontz had been wearing seatbelts, deputies reported.
The car, a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue, was registered to the driver.
U.S. 56/77 north of 220th Road
Alexander Kenneth Beck, 17, of Shell Knob, Mo., drove his 2003 Kia onto the right shoulder at 2:10 p.m. July 24, over-compensated, and ended up in the left ditch, damaging a fence owned by Don Kraus of 2542 220th Road. No injuries were reported.
