The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

280th Road near Sunflower Road:

David O. Sigmon, 23, of 709 W. Grand St., Hillsboro, was westbound on 280th Road near Sunflower Road in a 1998 Chevrolet pickup when he and passenger, Errica D. Williams, 27, same address, argued. According to Sheriff Deputy Matt Vogt, Williams grabbed the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to strike a tree on the south side of the road. Williams was taken by private vehicle to Hillsboro Community Hospital with possible injuries. The pickup was registered to Ronda Baker of 3166 Remington Rd., Lincolnville.

Nighthawk Road near 130th Road:

Marjorie A. Hufman, 58, of 2578 Goldenrod Rd., Hillsboro, struck and killed a deer with her 2004 Chevrolet Blazer at 5:55 a.m. June 26.

Damage was estimated at more than $1,000. Hufman was not injured.

Newell Road near 80th Road:

Richard J. Watts, 19, of 701 Poplar St., Peabody, was southbound on Newell Road near 80th Road at 3:30 a.m. June 27, when he lost control of his 1991 Pontiac Sunfire, sliding sideways across the road and hitting a light pole. The vehicle overturned and spun, landing on its top.

Watts had possible injuries and was taken by private vehicle to his residence. Passenger Todd M. Woodruff, 20, of 309 E. 7th St., Peabody, was taken by private vehicle to Newton Medical Center with possible injuries. The vehicle was registered to Susan Corona of Newton.

Indigo Road near 120th Road:

Myrna K. Kliewer, 66, of 301 S. Main St., Hillsboro, struck and killed a deer with her 1998 Toyota Camary at 9:25 p.m. June 27.

Damage was estimated at more than $1,000. Kliewer was not injured.

K-15 near 140th Road:

Paul Ediger, 89, of 608 E. First St., Hillsboro, struck and killed a deer with his 1995 Buick passenger car at 10 p.m. June 28.

Marcella Ediger, 86, of same address as driver, was transported by Hillsboro EMS to Hillsboro Community Hospital.

90th Road near Indigo Road:

Rebecca J. Yoder, 50, of 1259 90th Rd., Peabody, struck a deer with her 2002 Buick Centry at 6 a.m. June 29.

Damage was estimated at more than $1,000. Yoder was not injured.

Intersection of Ash and D streets, Hillsboro

A 2002 Dodge Dakota pickup, driven by Marvin Rediker, 82, 704 S. Ash St., Apt. 2, Hillsboro, struck the rear of a 2007 Toyota Rav 4, driven by Stephen Vincent, 58, 208 E. B St., Hillsboro, at 12:05 p.m. June 29 at the intersection of Ash and D streets, Hillsboro. According to Hillsboro Police Officers David Funk, Vincent was stopped at the intersection, waiting for traffic when Rediker stated he was looking at something on the floor when the accident occurred.

300 block of North Ash Street, Hillsboro

Ethel A. Hiebert, 66, 1043 E. 90th Rd., Peabody, was in a parking lot in the 300 block of North Ash Street, Hillsboro, in a 2000 Ford Taurus at 10:25 a.m. July 1, when her vehicle struck the right rear of a parked 1999 Pontiac Grand Am, owned by Flora A. Washburn, 318 N. Birch St., Hillsboro.
