Sumac Road and 180th Road

Shelby Percell, 19, 17 Random Road, Marion, was driving south on Sumac when she was struck by a 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck from behind at 1 a.m. Jan. 1. Percell’s vehicle, a 2001 Dodge sport utility vehicle, went off the road and struck a tree. The pickup, registered to Tyler Slater, 586 Needle Road, Peabody, went into a nearby ditch. The unknown driver of the truck left the scene. Percell did not report any injuries.

160th Road west of Turkey Creek Road

A 2001 Ford passenger car, registered to Brian Freese, 156 Eastmoor St., Marion, was driven off the road and into a waterway at 10:50 p.m. Jan. 7. Passengers included Kaitlyn Freese, 16, same address, Bret Voth, 15, 226 N. Coble St., Marion, Andrew Hampton, 15, 710 E. Main St., Marion, and Elizabeth Williams, 15, 720 E. Hudson Road, Marion. Marion and Florence ambulances transported all but Hampton to St. Luke Hospital.

U.S. 56 at Ash Street, Hillsboro

Marlys Marston, 83, 11 Park Court, Hillsboro, turned on to U.S. 56 in front of Daniel Gabor, 18, 830 N. Briarwood, Derby at 5:40 p.m. Jan. 15; Gabor could not avoid striking her from behind. Pauline Greenhaw, 86, 1 Park Ave. Apt. 104, Hillsboro, was a passenger in Marston’s 2008 Lincoln sport utility vehicle. Gabor was driving his 1998 Nissan passenger car. No injuries were reported from the accident.

K-15 south of 310th Road

Carol Pantle, 55, 180 Main St, Carlton, struck a deer driving south on K-15 at 6:08 p.m. Jan. 14. She was driving her 2008 Dodge van.

Nighthawk Road north of 130th Drive

Rebecca Williams, 56, 202 Garfield Marion, struck a deer driving north on Nighthawk Road at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13. She was driving her 2004 Pontiac passenger car.
