Accident reports released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-77 north of 290th Rd.

Kraig Friesen, 42, Galva, hit a deer with a 2008 Honda Odyssey, owned by Paul Orth of McPherson, at 10 p.m. June 5.

K-15 north of 70th Rd.

Patrick Piland, 34, Newton, was ticketed for not having liability insurance after a two-car accident at 4:20 p.m. June 9.

Piland, driving a 1999 Chevy C1500 pickup, was attempting to pass a 1999 Cadillac Deville driven by Thelma Goerzen, 84, Goessel.

According to a report by Sergeant Larry Starkey and deputy Derek Fetrow, Goerzen had signaled a right turn but turned left into a driveway. She was not ticketed.

Both drivers were listed as possibly being injured, but neither was transported to a hospital. Piland’s pickup had to be towed.

US-56 east of Nighthawk Rd.

William Orr, 47, Hutchinson, hit a deer with his 2011 Chevy Traverse at 9:45 p.m. June 9.

US-50 east of Bluestem Rd.

Tosha Jaegers, 36, Hutchinson, hit a deer with her 2013 Chevy Malibu at 11 p.m. June 9.

US-77 north of 30th Rd.

Donna Hoffman, 62, Douglass, hit a deer with her 2010 Toyota Prius at 10:25 p.m. June 10.

US-56 north of 260th Rd.

Fatigued or asleep, Cody Parmley, 19, Cedar Point, drove his 2002 Saturn S into a ditch after veering over the centerline and over-correcting at 4:53 a.m. June 13.

The car had to be towed. Parmley was listed as possibly being injured, but he was not transported to a hospital.

10th Rd. east of US-77

Mandy Burke, 31, Florence, lost control of her 2012 GMC Acadia and drove into a bridge railing at 7 a.m. June 13.

Deputy Michael Ottensmeier’s report suggested Burke might have been driving too fast, but no citations were issued.

Burke was listed as injured, but there was no indication of her being transported to a hospital. Her SUV had to be towed.
