These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

K-256 north of 190th Rd.

Sue G. Markley, 62, Marion, hit a deer at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 20 with her 2009 Chevrolet Impala, which remained drivable with damage to its front left and hood.

US-56/77 north of 250th Rd.

Sarah B. Hendrix, 24, Junction City, hit a deer at 10:28 p.m. Dec. 20 with a 2012 Nissan Sentra owned by passenger Joshua E. Mercer of the same address.

The car remained drivable with damage to its front, hood, and left front.

US-56/77 south of 230th Rd.

Christopher A. Gates, 39, rural El Dorado, hit a deer at 6:35 p.m. Dec. 21 with a 2022 Ford tow truck owned by Heartland Towing of El Dorado.

The truck sustained damage described as minor to its passenger side.

K-150 east of Bluestem Rd.

Angela D. Edington, 41, Emporia, hit a deer at 7:53 p.m. Dec. 21 with her 2018 Ford Focus, which sustained disabling damage to its left front, but no tow truck was called.

US-56/77 north of 300th Rd.

James A. Murphy, 33, Herington, hit a deer at 11:10 p.m. Dec. 22 while driving a 2013 Dodge Avenger owned by Kitiara J. Thelin of the same address.

The car remained drivable with damage along its driver’s side.

Indigo Rd. north of 130th Rd.

Jeremy A. Hamm, 44, Hillsboro, hit a deer at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 23 with a 2023 Volkswagen Taos owned by Enterprise Leasing of Shawnee.

The sport-utility vehicle sustained damage termed minor to its left front.

Michelle M. Sayed, 47, and 11-year-old Dillon Sayed, both of Hamm’s Hillsboro address, were passengers at the time.

HILLSBORO

Ampride parking lot

Vehicles coming and going in the parking lot at Ampride, 512 E. D St., collided at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 27.

Marcella E. Frantz, 82, rural Hillsboro, was preparing to pull her 2005 Ford Taurus into a parking space while Kathleen L. Dirks, 75, Hillsboro, was backing her 2009 car, also a Ford Taurus, out of a space.

Frantz’s car, which was behind Dirks’s, sustained damage to its right rear fender. Dirks’s car sustained damage to the left rear corner of its bumper.
