K-15 north of 180th road
Ronald Corino, 49, 1119 N. Sherman St., Newton, was driving north on K-15 when he struck a deer at 6:40 p.m. Feb. 8. Corino was driving his 2000 Dodge passenger car.
U.S. 77 north of 310th Road
Jordan Nowak, 26, 2802 R. Ave., Herington, fell asleep while driving north on U.S. 77 at 4:25 a.m. Feb. 2. He went into the east ditch of the highway and overturned his 1998 Oldsmobile passenger car. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
400 block of U.S. 56 west of Chisholm Trail Road
Russell Jeffries, 59, 7200 E. 30th St., Hutchinson, fell asleep driving on U.S. 56 at 2:20 a.m. Jan. 30. He crossed the centerline and went into the north ditch. He was driving a 1998 tractor trailer registered to W Q Express, P.O. Box 450957, Sunrise, Fla. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
1000 block of U.S. 56 east of Indigo, Hillsboro
Calvin Maurer, 32, 341 S. 4th St., Marion, attempted to turn right onto U.S. 56 and went into the north ditch at 1:15 a.m. Jan. 29. He struck a culvert marker and overturned into the ditch. He was driving a 1998 Saturn passenger car registered to Cassey Taylor, same address. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
2500 block of 130th Road
Jeff Miller, 35, 406 S. Lincoln St., Marion, was driving south on 130th when he lost control of the vehicle, over-corrected, came across 130th, and impacted a guard rail at 1:15 a.m. Jan. 29. Miller was driving a 1994 GMC pickup truck registered to Christy Miller, same address. No injuries were reported as a result as an accident.
D Street east of Wilson Street, Hillsboro
Galen Miller, 38, 202 S. Church St., Goessel, struck Vernon Bartel, 79, 2427 Eagle Road, Hillsboro, while trying to make a turn into a parking lot at 9: 20 a.m. Feb. 8. Annalise Miller, 8, 1140 Eagle Road; Rebecca Miller, 38, same address as Annalise; Gretchen Schrag, 35, 677 120th Road, Hillsboro; and Eric Schrag, 36, same address as Gretchen, were passengers in Galen Miller’s 2009 Hyundai passenger car. Bartel was driving his 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
