Accidents reported

K-15 south of 190th Road

Glen Diener, 52, 117 Madison St., Hillsboro, struck a deer while driving south on K-15 at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 27. He was driving his 2006 Pontiac sedan. No injuries were reported.

U.S. 56 north of 250th Road

Betty Ehlers, 61, 211 E. Maple St., Marion, was struck by a deer while driving north on U.S. 56 at 7:15 a.m. Sept. 23. She was driving her 2007 Ford sedan. No injuries were reported.

K-15 and 120th Road

Victoria Anne Hines, 16, 920 N. K-15, Newton, tried to turn west onto 120th Road in front of Christopher D. Stauffer, 42, of 1120 29th Ave., Canton, and Stauffer struck Hines at 7:40 a.m. Sept. 17. Hines was driving her 1994 Pontiac sedan, and Stauffer was driving his 1994 Ford pickup. No injuries were reported.

Indigo Road north of 240th Road

Sean Paul McDougal, 20, 709 Abilene, Durham, lost control, overcorrected, and rolled his vehicle while driving north on Indigo Road at 4:40 p.m. Sept. 22. He was driving his 1989 Dodge pickup. Zion Pauline Santeo, 20, same address, was a passenger in the pickup.

330th Road west of Eagle Road

Chelsea Marie Molgren, 28, 513 S. Lincoln St., Hillsboro, was driving east on 330th Road when she struck a deer at 6:30 a.m. Sept. 24. She was driving her 2011 Chevrolet sedan. No injuries were reported.

U.S. 50 east of Pawnee Road

Steven Jay Geiger, 49, 3506 Seneca, St. Joseph, Mo., was driving west on U.S. 50 when he struck a deer at 9 p.m. Sept. 24. He was driving a 2011 Ford sedan registered to International Paper ARI Fleet, same address. No injuries were reported.

300th Road west of Timber Road

Larry E. McCarty, 48, 317 W. Third St., Tampa, lost control on loose gravel, went into the ditch, and overturned partially on the roadway while driving west on 300th Road at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 23. He was driving his 1999 Ford SUV. No injuries were reported.

K-15 south of 270th Road

A 1995 Oldsmobile Sedan registered to Cynthia D. Matthews, 901 W. Burns, Herington, was reported in a ditch along K-15 at 3 p.m. Sept. 23. No driver was at the scene when reported to Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

K-150 west of Xavier Road

Molese Hernandez Tavarez, 46, 111 S. Merchant, Emporia, was driving west on K-150 when he struck one heifer out of a group of 12 to 15 cattle that came out of the ditch onto the roadway at 6:15 a.m. Sept. 20. The heifer, owned by Ray Helmer, 2467 K-150, Marion, was killed. Tavarez was driving his 2008 Nissan sedan. Efrain Lewis, 32, 1601 W. South Ave., Dustin L. Fields, 28, 1753 Road E., and Edilberto Rodriguez, 32, 405 Union St., all Emporia, were passengers in the car. No injuries were reported.

90th Road west of Holly Road

Richard W. Hiebert, 54, 1630 Holly Road, Hillsboro, was driving west on 90th Road when he struck a deer at 6:35 a.m. Sept. 20. He was driving his 1991 Chevrolet pickup. No injuries were reported.
