1300 block of Nighthawk Road

William I. Boone, 45, 415 N. Locust St., Marion, went left of center and entered the ditch and overcorrected, rolling several times and coming to rest in the other ditch at 4:16 p.m. Dec. 13 in the 1300 block of Nighthawk Road. He was driving a 2007 Ford registered to Laura M. Hasenbank, same address. Boone was injured and later died of his injuries.

408 N. Adams St., Hillsboro

Clay Allen Etheridge, 17, 107 W. Kansas, Lehigh, slid off Adams Street due to ice and wind and struck a Westar Energy electrical pole at 9:34 a.m. Dec. 20. He was driving a 1997 Pontiac sedan registered to Gary D. Etheridge, same address. No injuries were reported.

40th Road east of Vista Road

Larry Goodwin, 19, 481 B Road, Burns, rolled his 2001 Dodge pickup onto its side at 12:01 a.m. Dec. 15 on 40th Road east of Vista Road after reaching down to get a cup he dropped. No injuries were reported.

K-15 south of 140th Road

Eric N. Rector, 34, 400 Oak St., Hillsboro, struck a deer at 5:41 p.m. Dec. 19 on K-15 south of 140th Road. He was driving his 2009 Ford sedan. No injuries were reported.

U.S. 56 east of Indigo Road

Patrick Allen Zogelman, 58, 234 Grandview, Florence, was traveling west at 1:22 p.m. Dec. 20 on U.S. 56 and signaled for and attempted a left turn. The semi-truck behind him slowed to allow him to turn, but a second semi-truck driven by Osman Ahmetovic, 47, 1220 N.E. 43rd Terrace, Kansas City, Mo., attempted to pass on the left and struck Zogelman. Zogelman was driving a 2010 Ford registered to Westar Energy, 4001 W. 14th St., Topeka; Ahmetovic was driving his 2003 Freightliner semi-truck. Zogelman suffered possible injuries.
