1300 block of 290th Road
Arthur Helvie, 44, 2743 Remington Road, Marion struck Monica Ratzlaff, 29, 130 290th Road, Durham, when Ratzlaff’s vehicle, a 2002 Chevy pickup truck, went into the north ditch. Helvie was unable to avoid the tow hook of the pickup truck and damaged his 2004 Mitsubishi car at 1:33 p.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported in the accident.
Indigo Road south of 110th Road
Marceina Ryel, 32, 901 Lisa Ave., Mulvane struck a culvert when losing control of her 2001 Chevrolet van driving north on an ice-covered Indigo Road at 6 a.m. Jan. 30. Ryel was taken to Hillsboro Community Hospital by Peabody Ambulance.
700 block 150th Road
Howard Hamm turned off 150th Road after heading west and struck a gate, belonging to Ervin Goossen at 5:30 a.m. Jan. 28. No injuries were reported in the accident. Hamm was driving his 1996 pickup truck.
Diamond Road north of 230th Road
Sidney Wasemiller, 55, 205 Maria Street, Lehigh, was driving north on Diamond road and turned west into a field. Martha Lemon, 62, 3339 Eagle Road, Tampa, tried to pass Wasemiller who was driving a red International tractor. Lemon struck Wasemiller driving her 2004 Ford sport utility vehicle without working turn signals at 2:55 p.m. Jan. 24. Josephine Lemon, 5, 1247 29th Ave., Canton, was a passenger with Martha Lemon. No injuries were reported in the accident.
Sunflower road north of 160th
Paul Wikoff, 46, 202 W. 5th St., Florence, struck a deer while driving south on Sunflower at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 23. Wikoff was driving his 2012 Ford car.
U.S. 77 and K-150
Ralph Burchman, 81, 5658 Jaymar Dr., Louisburg, struck Carolyn Barnett after stopping and pulling into the intersection of U.S. 77 and K-150 at 11:40 a.m. Jan. 25. Gwendolyn Burcham, 80, same address was a passenger in Ralph Burchman’s 1995 Lincoln car. Brady Turner, 16, 412 N. High, Newton was a passenger in Barnett’s 2011 Toyota car. No injuries were reported in the accident.
Milepost 288 of U.S. 56
George Arnold, 61, 1430 Hwy 58 SE, Le Roy, struck a raccoon driving east on U.S. 56 at 11:30 p.m. Jan. 17. Arnold was driving his 2009 Toyota car.
