Gregory Wayne Jacobson, 61, 692 Key Rd., Hope, jumped the curb and struck the front of Dale’s Supermarket, 108 W. Grand St., Hillsboro with his vehicle at 10:22 a.m. Oct. 15 after his foot slipped off the brake pedal and hit the accelerator.

Vernon A. Bartel, 81, of 2472 Eagle Rd., Hillsboro, driving his 2004 Case, collided with Tamara L. Christiansen, 41, of 566 290th Rd., Durham, driving her 2011 GMC sport utility vehicle, at 2 p.m. Oct. 9. Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital. Both vehicles had to be towed.

An unidentified person’s leg was trapped between two vehicles when Chase James Flaming, 15, 578 130th Rd., Hillsboro, pulled up too close behind a vehicle in a 1997 Mercury sedan owned by John K. Flaming, same address, at 9:02 p.m. Oct. 9. The accident report said Flaming was not in compliance with license restrictions for being under age 16.

An unoccupied 1977 Chevrolet farm truck owned by Michael C. Carlson, 2563 CC Ave., Burdick, rolled and struck an Atmos Energy gas meter at 12:15 p.m. Oct. 10.
Lee Joseph Vogel, 22, of 248 W. Maple St., Phillipsburg, struck a coyote with his 2006 Chrysler sedan at 10:45 pm. Oct. 11 on U.S. 56 east of Meridian Rd.
Trevor James Troutt, 21, 308 C St., Ramona, struck and killed a cow owned by Darryl Rhodes of 726 340th Rd., Tampa, with his 2009 Nissan pickup at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 12 on 340th Rd. east of Falcon Rd.
Christopher C. George, 57, of 1200 S. Mill Point Cr., Manhattan, struck and killed a deer with a 2007 Chevrolet van owned by the Manhattan school district at 10:15 a.m. Oct. 13 on K-15 south of 230th Rd.
Jeannette Tannahill, 55, of 325 N.E. 5th St., Abilene, struck a deer with a 2010 Toyota sedan owned by Donald Tannahill, same address, at 7 a.m. Oct. 16 on U.S. 56 west of Chisholm Trail Rd.
Fredrick C. Magnuson, 33, of 1450 N. Brunswick, Wichita, struck and killed a deer with a 2013 truck owned by Cintas Corp., 9333 E. 35th St., Wichita, at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 16 on U.S. 50 east of Quail Creek Rd. The vehicle had to be towed.
