S. Kennedy St.

While traveling north in his 2002 Hyundai sedan, Cord Jacob Werth, 36, 215 Floral Dr., Hillsboro, was struck by David Jay Bostic, 30, 303 Kennedy St., Hillsboro, who was backing a 1999 Buick sedan owned by Mary C. Bostic, same address, out of his driveway and did not see Werth’s oncoming vehicle. Police reported minor damage to both vehicles.

U.S. 56 east of Limestone Rd.

John Matthew Dodge, 40, 113 Brookview Court, Hutchinson, lost control of a 2002 Ford pickup registered to Colton Taylor Dodge, same address, on an ice patch and rolled the vehicle three times at noon March 1. The driver was taken by ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital. The vehicle had to be towed.

Sunflower Rd. north of 130th Rd.

Justin Adam Thompson, 26, 506 E. 6th St., Newton, lost control of a 2000 Ford pickup registered to Stefane Antonia Vasquez, 125 W. 10th St., Newton, on an ice patch and rolled the vehicle at 2:30 p.m. March 1. Police reported no injuries. The vehicle had to be towed.

U.S. 50 and Sunflower Rd.

Dustin William Britton, 24, 1025 N. Marion St., Florence, and Alejandro Diaz-Jacquez, 27, 2603 N. 45th St., Kansas City, collided when Diaz-Jacquez tried to pass in a 1999 Freightliner registered to DNJ Intermodal Services, 3150 Lenox Park Blvd., Suite 200, Memphis, Tenn., while Britton tried to make a left turn in a 1989 Cadillac sedan registered to Eric Clay, 1023 N. Marion St., Florence, at 11:22 a.m. March 5. Police reported no injuries. The Cadillac had to be towed.

Animal strikes

Catherine L. Cleeton, 54, 1978 Sunflower Rd., Marion, struck and killed a deer with her 2009 Toyota sport utility vehicle at 8:15 p.m. Feb. 28 on Walnut St. south of Monroe St. in Marion.

Christian Frank Ward, 37, 206 E. F St., Hillsboro, struck a coyote with his 2011 Chevrolet sedan at 4:44 a.m. March 5 on 120th Rd. west of Goldenrod Rd.
