Accidents reported

According to accident reports released Friday:

SHERIFF

K-15 south of 270th Rd.

Jerald Rowland, 66, Emporia, hit and killed a deer with his 1998 Dodge Caravan at 6 p.m. Nov. 11.

He was able to drive from the scene.

US-56/77 north of US-56

Thomas Trieb, Jr., 53, Wamego hit a deer with his 2012 Nissan Versa at 6:10 p.m. Nov. 11.

The car was disabled and towed from the scene.

Nighthawk Rd. south of 140th Rd.

A 2008 Ford Focus driven by Jaynette Miller, 61, Newton, ended up in the east ditch of Nighthawk Rd. when Miller reportedly overcorrected and swerved after striking a culvert marker at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 10. Sheriff’s officer Travis Wilson reported Miller was not injured and was able to drive the vehicle from the scene.

Sunflower Rd. north of 210th Rd.

Victoria Holub, 25, Marion, was southbound in a 2004 Saturn Ion at 2:48 p.m. Nov. 10 when she reportedly lost control of the car when entering an area of gravel. She drove into the east ditch, went through a fence, striking a post, and ended up in a field. Sheriff’s officer Wilma Mueller reported Holub and a passenger were not injured. The car sustained disabling damage to the front and undercarriage and was towed from the scene.

Indigo Rd. north of 140th Rd.

Christian Ward, 37, Hillsboro, hit and killed a deer with his 2006 GMC Sierra at 4:30 a.m. Nov. 10.

The vehicle was disabled and towed from the scene.

K-15 north of intersection with US-56

James Horinek, 58, Marion, hit a deer with his 2011 Ford Escape at 4 a.m. Nov. 7.

He was able to drive from the scene.

US-77 south of 140th Rd.

Terry Looney, 46, Florence, hit and killed a deer with his 1997 Dodge pickup at 10:08 p.m. Nov. 7.

He was able to drive from the scene.

US-56/77 north of 250th Rd.

Timothy Stuchlik, 19, Lincolnville, hit and killed a deer with his 1994 Pontiac Firebird at 10:25 p.m. Nov. 8.

He was able to drive from the scene.

Remington Rd. north of 230th Rd.

Mark Meyer, 50, Tampa, hit and killed a deer with his 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 10.

He was able to drive from the scene.

Sunflower Rd. and 360th Rd. intersection

A 2002 Kia Spectra driven by Joshua Davis, 20, Ramona, struck a 1994 White heavy farm truck driven by Larry Mein, 54, Herington at 8:25 a.m. Nov. 6. Sheriff’s officer Wilma Mueller reported Davis was following the truck and attempted to pass on the right, unaware the truck was making a turn. The truck sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene, while the car was extensively damaged and had to be towed.

30th Rd. west of Upland Rd.

Krystal Mendez-Campos, 30, Burns, hit a deer with her 2001 Chrysler Town and Country at 6:36 a.m. Oct. 27.

She was able to drive from the scene.

US-77 south of 110th Rd.

Travis Meyer, 25, Junction City, hit and killed a deer with his 1992 Nissan 240 at 8:45 p.m. Oct. 26.

The vehicle was disabled and towed from the scene.
