According to law enforcement reports released Monday:

SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Sunflower Rd. north of 160th Rd.

Elizabeth Gott, 57, Peabody, hit a deer with her 1995 Chevrolet Lumina at 10:18 p.m. June 30.

US-56 south of 300th Rd.

Christopher Strecker, 44, Goessel, leaned over to pick items off of the floor of his semi, causing him to cross the center line and hit the rear driver’s side trailer axels on a semi driven by John Wrenn, 42, Belle Plaine at 5:50 p.m. June 23.

US-50 East of Limestone Rd.

David Schimming, 64, Newton, hit a deer with his 2013 GMC Sierra at 11:20 p.m. June 26. The car was towed.

US-50 east of Mustang Rd.

Nichel Pavlicek, 38, Florence, hit and killed a deer with a 2014 Dodge R15 owned by Thyran Pavlicek of the same address at 11 p.m. June 26.

US-77 south of 90th Rd.

Joseph Jones, 25, Herington, hit a deer with his 2004 Ford Focus at 1:15 a.m. July 2.

Hillsboro

300 block of Main St.

A motorcycle driven by Glenda Eck, 64, of Hillsboro struck a house while she was learning to operate it at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of N. Main St.

Witness Amelia Breugem stated in a police report that Eck was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Police said that Eck’s head and body hit the house, causing her minor injuries.

The motorcycle was owned by Ray Eck, age not given, of Hillsboro.
