According to law enforcement reports released Saturday:

Marion county

Unnamed road west of 220th Rd.

Kevin Kroupa, 42, Marion, was backing up his 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander at a campsite at Cottonwood Point when it struck a site marker post with the left rear corner of the vehicle at 11:45 p.m. Aug. 8. There was no damage to the post. Kimberly Kroupa, owner of the vehicle, was a passenger.

K-15 at 330th Rd.

A 2012 Dodge R35, driven by Jesus Jaquez, 34, Oklahoma City, was westbound on 330th Rd. and did not see a stop sign and attempted to stop at 12:02 p.m. Aug. 10. The vehicle, along with the trailer it was pulling, slid through the stop sign in front of a 2004 Toyota Camry, driven by Peggy Ziser, 72, Manhattan, that was southbound, causing Ziser to strike the trailer. Ziser was transported by Tampa EMS to Hillsboro Community Hospital, and her car was towed.

US-56 west of Nighthawk Rd.

A 2001 Ford Taurus driven by Victoria Boyd, 16, Marion, was westbound on US-56 when the vehicle drifted off the shoulder of the highway, causing Boyd to lose control, crossing over the median coming to a stop in the ditch on the opposite side at 8:40 p.m. Aug. 10. The vehicle, owned by James Boyd, Newton, received minor damage.

260th Rd. east of Remington Rd.

A 2010 Dodge R35, driven by Clinton Kroupa, 19, Lincolnville, and owned by Martin Kroupa of the same address, was eastbound on 260th Rd. at 12:14 a.m. Aug. 3 when a cow came from a ditch. Kroupa failed to see the cow, and hit it. The car was towed from the scene.

US-56 west of K-15

A 2005 GMC Yukon driven by Janice Davidson, 57, Hillsboro, hit and killed a deer at 9:10 p.m. Aug. 2. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

190th Rd. west of Nighthawk Rd.

Whitney Christensen, 20, Marion, was driving her 2013 Chevrolet Malibu when the vehicle struck a deer at 6:17 a.m. Aug. 2.

190th Rd. east of US-77

A 2013 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Randall Kahns, 59, Lincolnville, ran a stop sign on K-256 at 3:15 p.m. Aug. 1. The vehicle then stopped on the east side of the intersection, made a hard left turn, hit and knocked over a stop sign on 190th Rd. Testing of Kahns at the scene was indicative of alcohol consumption.

US-77 south of 250th Rd.

A 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Josette Dennis, 42, Greeley, Colorado, and owned by William Dennis, Hope, left the road, overcorrected, slid sideways across US-77, then rolled four times before coming to a rest at 1:50 p.m. Aug. 8. The driver was airlifted to Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita, and the car was towed.

Nighthawk Rd. south of 190th.

A 2011 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Dwayne Stika, 42, Marion, was slowing to a stop on Nighthawk Rd. south of 190th Rd. at 2:10 p.m. Aug. 2 when the motorcycle’s throttle cable broke, sending the motorcycle on its side and sliding with Stika still on the seat. There were no injuries reported.

Hillsboro

A gas meter was discovered to be leaking natural gas at 7:45 a.m. Aug. 8 in the alley behind 314 Ash St. by officer John Huebert. He reported that the meter was bent northward. It was unclear if a motorist was identified in relation to the gas meter strike.
