In all six of these deer strikes, owners were able to remove their vehicles without a tow truck.

US-50 east of Alfalfa Rd.

Chelsea Weber, 28, Cedar Point, hit a deer with her 2013 Ford C-Max at 7:20 p.m. May 11.

US-56 west of Chisholm Trail Rd.

Loretta Dahl, 49, Cawker City, hit a deer with a 2011 Dodge Challenger, owned by Christopher Bowles of the same address, at 8:34 p.m. May 11.

US-77 north of Wagon Wheel Rd.

Daniel Neuberger, 63, Herington, hit a deer with his 2017 Subaru Outback at 10:31 p.m. May 11.

US-50 east of Mustang Rd.

Noreen Weems, 74, Peabody, hit a deer with her 2005 Cadillac DeVille at 8:30 p.m. May 12.

340th Rd. east of Wagon Wheel Rd.

Alysia Towey, 30, Burdick, hit a deer with her 2012 Ford Escape at 5:54 a.m. May 17.

K-15 north of 130th Rd.

Marc Schroeder, 38, Hillsboro, hit a deer with his 2000 Lincoln Town Car at 4:51 a.m. Thursday.

US-56 and Ash St.

Vehicles driven by Jerry Alfred Thouvenell, 56, Hillsboro, and Samantha J. Ratzloff, 19, Durham, collided at 8:30 a.m. May 16.

Thouvenell was attempting to turn left onto US 56 in his 1994 Chevrolet 2500 pickup and pulled in front of Ratzloff’s eastbound 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt. No injuries were reported. Ratzloff’s car was towed. Thouvenell was issued a citation for failure to yield.

101 Industrial Rd.

While driving a city trash truck toward a dumpster, Kenneth B. Carlson, 64, Hillsboro, struck and destroyed a light pole at 2 p.m. Friday in Hillsboro Community Hospital’s parking lot. Police said Carlson was driving through an area marked as being not intended for travel. No citation was issued.
