Accident reports released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

70th Rd. south of US-50

Justus Hilliard, 20, Hillsboro, was ticketed for allegedly leaving the scene and not reporting that he drove his 2006 Subaru Legacy into a ditch, striking an embankment, while attempting to turn at 8 p.m. July 10.

The accident was not reported until 2 a.m. the next day, according to deputy Derek Calvert, who reported that Hilliard was driving too fast for conditions.

Cody Partridge, 19, Peabody, and Dedrick Thiessen, 22, Hillsboro, were listed as passengers in Hilliard’s car, which had to be towed.

150th Rd. west of Falcon Rd.

Brent Rauh, 40, rural Hillsboro, hit a cow that was in the road just after he crested a hill at 2:45 a.m. July 11.

The cow was owned by Marvin Duerksen of rural Canton. Rauh’s 2006 Buick Terraza sustained damage on front, passenger, and driver’s side.

Main St. west of Cedar St. in Goessel

A trailer hitch on a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup being backed out of a parking space by James Wiens, 66, Goessel, struck the front bumper of an eastbound 2012 Ford Fusion driven by Lori Smith, 38, also of Goessel, at 6:40 p.m. July 13.

Relatively minor damage was reported. Sergeant Larry Starkey’s report said Wiens was inattentive and improperly backed his truck. However, no citations were issued.

120th Rd. east of K-15

Anthony Conrady, 30, rural Canton, hit a deer with his 2014 Chevy Cruze at 9 p.m. July 14. He reported the accident at 1 p.m. the next day.

Kanza Rd. north of 210th Rd.

Bradley Vannocker, 54, rural Hillsboro, hit a deer with his 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 at 8:54 p.m. July 15. Relatively minor damage was reported.

K-150 east of Yarrow Rd.

Julie Aeschliman, 53, Lindsborg, hit a deer with her 2010 Ford Taurus at 11:25 a.m. July 19. The car had to be towed.
