ACCIDENTS
REPORTED
These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
SHERIFF
340th Rd. east of Timber Rd.
Steve Katz, 33, Lost Springs, hit a bridge rail with his 2012 Ford Fusion after apparently falling asleep and drifting into an oncoming lane at 7 a.m. May 16. No injuries were reported.
K-15 north of 290th Rd.
Two people, including driver Maja Wing, 41, Junction City, were injured when a blowout caused her 2006 Ford F-250 to roll into an oncoming lane’s ditch at 10:06 a.m. May 18.
The pickup came to rest on its wheels, atop a fence owned by Kevin Winter of Hillsboro.
Wing and passenger Biagica Stojneva, 61, of the same address were taken by ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital. Other passengers included Anastasija Wing, 18, and Brian Wing, 47, of the same address and Milena Zoeller, 26, and Alexis Rush, 17, of different Junction City addresses.
The pickup had to be towed.
Kanza Rd. south of 220th Rd.
A deer ran into the side of the passenger door of a 2002 Nissan Frontier owned and driven by Don Arnold, 74, rural Hillsboro, at 8:58 p.m. May 18.
US-50 east of Old Mill Rd.
Dylan Brown, 25, rural Hope, hit a deer with his 2015 Chrysler Town and Country at 11:50 p.m. May 21. Neither he nor passengers April Brown, 24; Eli Brown, 4; and Preston Brown, 2, all of the same address, were reported injured.
