REPORTED

These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

170th Rd. east of Timber Rd.

Remington Putter, 20, was ticketed for alleged underage drinking and misdemeanor failure to report an accident after his 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was found parked, partially in the road, near where it had hit a concrete pillar at 3:14 a.m. June 16 on the dam at Marion County Lake.

Deputy Aaron Slater found no one at the car after the accident was reported by the lake’s superintendent.

Putter was contacted at his residence at 1750 180th Rd. Slater’s report said a preliminary breath test indicated Putter had consumed alcohol. No further tests were conducted, however. The report blamed the accident on inattentive driving.

Putter’s pickup was towed.

K-15 north of 220th Rd.

Passenger Rachael Campbell, 23, of Riley suffered what were reported to be possible injuries when Joshua Stockell, 33, of the same address hit a deer with his 2015 Dodge Dart at 10:18 p.m. June 17.

Neither Stockwell nor another passenger, 1-year-old Ava Taber of the same address, was reported injured, and Campbell was not taken to a hospital. However, the deer was killed, and their car had to be towed.

US-56 east of Old Mill Rd.

At the same location where on Saturday a large amount of gravel spilled onto the highway, forcing traffic diversion and cleanup that involved Marion firefighters, motorist Tammy Hinton, 38, Florence, reported that a rock flew off a rock-hauling semi-trailer and damaged the windshield of her 2012 Honda Accord at 12:15 p.m. June 19.

Sheriff Rob Craft’s report listed no other vehicles or citations but stated that Hinton had come to his office to report the damage.

Falcon Rd. north of 190th Rd.

Reportedly blinded by dust from a semi-trailer he was following, Fletcher Feyh, 20, Alma, rear-ended the semi with a 2015 GMC Sierra as the semi slowed to turn at 2:06 p.m. June 19.

Both the truck and the semi tractor, a 2001 Freightliner FLD driven by Richard Feyh, 52, of the same address, were owned by Feyh Farm Co. of that address.

Deputy Bronson Shipman’s report blamed the accident on inattentive driving by the younger Feyh, but no citations were issued.

K-15 at K-215 in Goessel

Miles Martin, 58, Chapman, drove his 2004 Cadillac DeVille into a ditch at 2:50 p.m. June 20 while trying to avoid a pickup that turned in front of him because its teenage driver could not see around a hay wagon he was following.

Deputy Larry Starkey’s report said that young driver of the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, Luke Freeman, 16, of Goessel, failed to yield and made an improper turn, but no citations were issued.

Madison Smith, 17, of a different Goessel address was a passenger in the pickup. The driver of the semi-trailer hay wagon was not identified.

190th Rd. east of Jade Rd.

Inattentive driving was cited as the reason why Larinda Amstutz, 27, Hillsboro, drove her 2008 Ford Taurus off the right side of the road and into a culvert marker at 3:32 p.m. June 20. No citations were reported.

US-50 east of Old Mill Rd.

Roseann Kaufman, 55, Prairie Village, hit and killed a deer with her 2014 Toyota Prius at 10:03 p.m. June 20.
