These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Pawnee Rd. north of 170th Rd.

Cody Carr, 23, Marion, struck and killed a deer with his 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup at 9:58 p.m. June 29.

Erin Loewen, 23, and infant Jeremiah Carr, both of the same address, were in the pickup at the time.

US-77 north of 50th Rd.

Patricia Wyss, 38, Wichita, hit a deer with her 2002 Dodge Intrepid at 5:25 a.m. June 30.

290th Rd. east of Limestone Rd.

Jesse Smith, 37, rural Marion, hit a deer with his 2015 Ford Fusion at 9:23 p.m. June 30.

Upland Rd. south of 180th Rd.

A teenage girl talking to two friends while traveling toward Marion County Lake drove off the right edge of the pavement and lost control of her car, which flipped onto its side, hitting a fence and a gate at 3:15 p.m. July 4.

Deputy Larry Starkey’s report said driver Tiffany Schale, 16, of rural Hillsboro had been distracted and inattentive, but no tickets were issued.

Passenger Jasmine Lewis, 16, Marion, was listed as suffering possible injuries but declined to be taken to a hospital.

The other passenger was identified as Eli Croxton, 15, of Sedgwick.

The car, a 1997 Ford Escape owned by Steven Schale of the same rural Hillsboro address, was driven away despite sustaining damage along its entire driver’s side, front, rear, and roof.

Marion firefighters and Marion and Hillsboro ambulances all were called to the accident.
