These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
SHERIFF
U.S.-56 at Industrial Road
Nathan Chrisman, 22, of Salina, rear ended Andrew Kelsey, 27, of Newton, headed west at the Industrial Road intersection at 4:20 p.m. July 25.
Chrisman’s 2017 GMC Savana, contracted by M&J Express Delivery, Inc., suffered heavy damage to the front end. Kelsey, driving a 2014 Chevy Silverado owned by Cooperative Grain & Supply, had stopped or slowed to make a left turn when he was struck.
SHERIFF
190th Rd. west of Holly Rd.
Inattentive driving was blamed for a one-vehicle accident in which Orlin Ensz, 54, of rural Hillsboro drove his 2001 Ford F-150 off shoulder-less pavement and into a ditch at 7:39 p.m. July 25.
The pickup’s front and hood sustained significant damage but the vehicle did not have to be towed. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.
US-56 west of K-168
Ty Gibson, 61, of Abilene hit a deer with a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 at 4:49 a.m. July 23.
The pickup, owned by Enterprise Fleet Management Trust of Wichita, sustained damage along its passenger side but could be driven away.
