These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

K-50 east of Limestone Rd.

The trailer on a 2007 Kenworth driven by Dustin Newell, 41, Baldwin City, struck the side mirror of a 2019 International driven by Emanuel Tipton, 38, when Newell changed from the right passing lane to the left driving lane at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 9. Although Deputy Travis Wilson reported the accident was caused by Newell improperly changing lanes, no citation was issued.

Sunflower Rd. south of 140th

Fred Philpott, 55, Peabody, hit a deer with his 2007 Ford Mustang at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 9. Philpott was able to drive the vehicle away.

US-56 east of Old Mill Rd.

Kylee Martin, 17, Lehigh, hit a piece of rubber tire on the roadway at 9:43 p.m. Aug. 3. Damage to the undercarriage was reported. Neither Martin nor passengers Jenna Friesen, 13, and Emily Paulus, 14, reported injury.
