These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
SHERIFF
Goldenrod Rd. at 190th Rd.
A 2006 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Henry D. Hein, 16, Hillsboro, collided with a 2007 Mercury Milan driven by Olivia C. Giesbrecht, 18, Hillsboro, collided at 6:50 p.m. Feb. 27 after the Mercury ran a stop sign on Goldenrod. Neither Hein nor his passengers, Grace Hein, 13, and Oliver Hein, 8, reported injury. Giesbrecht also did not report injury. Giesbrecht was cited for failure to yield. The Chrysler was towed.
KS-256 east of Eisenhower
A 2012 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Jaden N. Slifer, 15, Marion, dropped onto the north shoulder of KS-256 at 8:28 a.m. March 7. Slifer overcorrected, crossed over into the eastbound lane, then back into the north ditch, hitting a fence and ditch embankment before coming to rest in a field. The Chevrolet was towed.
US-50 east of Limestone Rd
Richard C. Chumbley, Jr., 64, Marion, hit a raccoon while driving a 2015 Ford Taurus at 11 a.m. March 2.
Hillsboro
200 block of S. Date St.
Ginger B. Hoffner reported damage to the driver’s side mirror of her 2006 Saturn Ion between 8 p.m. March 2 and 12:45 p.m. March 3. The Saturn was parked on the east side of Date St.
