SHERIFF

Sunflower Rd. north of 120th Rd.

Tonny R. Delvecchio, 56, Peabody, fell asleep at the wheel of his 1997 Ford F-15 pickup, woke up in the left ditch, overcorrected, and drove through a fence before overturning and coming to rest on its side at noon Nov. 4.

US-50 at Nighthawk Rd.

Dennis D. Pickens, 77, Peabody, pulled his 2002 Chevrolet C15 forward onto US-50 after stopping at a stop sign on Nighthawk Rd., driving into the path of an oncoming 1994 Honda Accord driven by Daniel J. Apgar, 29, Kansas City, Missouri, at 2:56 p.m. Nov. 1. Pickens was cited for failure to yield.

Kelly R. Bell, 56, Burdick, hit a dog with his 2015 Buick Encore at 7:39 p.m. Nov. 1.

US-50 east of Union Rd.

Derrick J. Pellicotte, 43, Fort Riley, hit a deer with his 2014 Chevrolet Traverse at 12:20 p.m. Nov. 2.

US-50 west of Mustang Rd.

Richard K. Ensminger, 52, Peabody, hit a deer with his 2014 Mazda MZ3 at 9:41 p.m. Nov. 1.

US-77 north of 320th Rd.

Perry A. Gutsch, 59, Herington, hit a deer with a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado owned by Agri Producers, Tampa, at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 1.

K-150 east of Zebulon Rd.

Larry J. Thompson, 64, Edwardsville, Illinois, hit a deer with his 2014 Acura at 6:52 p.m. Nov. 4. Neither Thompson nor his passenger, Lisa K. Thompson, 61, Edwardsville, Illinois, reported injury.

Hillsboro

800 block of E. A St.

Audrey L. Kinney, 29, Hillsboro, was backing up in her 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe at 6:45 p.m. in front of Hillsboro Elementary School when she hit the front bumper of a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban owned by Scott N. Winter, Hillsboro. Kinney’s vehicle had minor scuffing, and Winter’s vehicle had a possible crack to the front bumper.

US-56 at Industrial Rd.

Layne E. Nienstedt, 22, Lincolnville, was driving east in his 2002 Chevrolet Silverado at 5 p.m. Oct. 29 on US-56 when he crashed into a deer that entered the intersection from the north.
