These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
SHERIFF
US-77 south of 470th Rd.
Precious L. Vander Putten, 32, Lincoln, Nebraska, was injured when she hit a deer at 7:45 p.m. March 8 with a 2019 Nissan Rogue owned by Jason McCoy, Lincoln, Nebraska. Vander Putten was taken by ambulance to St. Luke Hospital.
Sunflower Rd. north of 150th Rd.
Hazel M. Hoffner, 76, Marion, was taken to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, after she was discovered in a field with a head wound in her 2006 Chrysler P.T. Cruiser at 6 p.m. March 8. Hoffner was not able to tell officers about her head injury. Further investigation indicated that she had turned into the field and drove into a creek bed, causing her head injury.
Old Mill Rd. north of US-50
Roxanne Grosch, 60, Wichita, backed her 2016 Chrysler 200 into a 2014 Ford F-15 driven by Michael A. Reynolds, 70, Peabody at 2:27 p.m. March 11. Deputy Matthew Regier’s report blamed the accident on inattentive driving by Grosch, but no citation was issued.
