These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-77 south of 140th Rd.

Misty R. Peirano, 74, Junction City, was taken to St. Luke Hospital after being injured when she hit a deer with her 2016 Mazda CX5 at 8:20 p.m. July 13. Her passengers, Shawn D. Peirano, 52, and Zachary D. Peirano, 14, both of Junction City, did not report injury.

Goldenrod Rd. north of 190th Rd.

Jennifer L. Henriksen, 38, Courtland, was injured when she drove into a ditch at 3:50 p.m. July 15 after overcorrecting when her 1999 Chevrolet Suburban’s wheels dropped off pavement. The Suburban, owned by Ryan D. Henriksen, Richfield, ended up in the opposite ditch and had to be towed. Deputy C.J. Perry’s accident report blamed the accident on low or non-existent shoulders, inattentive driving, and overcorrection. No citations were issues. Passengers Ruth Henriksen, 3; Rebekah Henriksen, 9; and Emily Henriksen, 10, did not report injury.

US-77 north of 70th Rd.

Brett T. Wehling, 34, Manhattan, hit a deer at 6:45 a.m. July 16 while driving a 2019 Chevrolet Impala owned by Hertz Vehicles, Southfield, Michigan. Both Wehling and his passenger, Jeffrey W. Spradlin, 34, Overland Park, reported possible injury but were not taken to a hospital.

K-15 north of 150th Rd.

Nathaniel I. Beagel, 29, McPherson, hit a fence and a tree at 3:40 p.m. July 16 after oversteering and losing control of a 2003 Cadillac Deville owned by Eva J. John, Galva.
