These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

Hillsboro

US-56 and Santa Fe

Joshua Terrance Siebert, 15, Marion, driving a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am owned by Tawnya L. Siebert at 8 a.m. April 21, struck a 2010 Chevrolet Impala driven by Brock Allan Mitchell, 20, Marion, that had slowed to make a left turn. Officers cited Siebert for following too closely.

SHERIFF

Quail Creek Rd. south of 30th Rd.

Janelle R. Stucky, 44, Peabody, hit Vernon E. Klingenberg’s metal gate, which had extended into the roadway, at 4 a.m. April 7. Her 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt sustained damage to its front and passenger side but was drivable. The accident wasn’t reported until 7:02 p.m.

K-15 north of 240th Rd.

James L. Martin, 71, Berryton, hit a deer with his 2011 Honda Pilot at 8:32 p.m. April 15. The car sustained extensive damage and had to be towed.

US-77 south of Wagon Wheel Rd.

Rhett J. Griffiths, 17, Herington, hit a deer at 6:30 a.m. April 17 while driving a 2017 Buick Envoy owned by Ruth I. Hailey, 61, Herington. She and Martha E. Tollefson, 69, also of Herington, were passengers. No injuries were reported, but the car had to be towed.

US-56 west of K-168

Christopher Rodriguez, 20, Newton, skidded a 2018 Dodge Caravan delivery van owned by Rescar Inc. of Newton into a ditch after hitting a patch of slush at 7:30 a.m. April 20. Deputy Travis Wilson’s report said Rodriguez had been traveling too fast in snowy weather, but no citations were issued.

US-77 south of 140th Rd.

Rosa C. Earnest, 36, Wichita, hit a deer at 12:09 a.m. Friday with a 2019 Ford F-250 owned by Union Pacific Railroad.
