REPORTED

These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

70th Rd. east of Quail Creek Rd.

Randall M. Eitzen, 61, rural Peabody, allegedly yelled at anglers who had parked their vehicles along a bridge, accelerated and sideswiped one of the vehicles, then reversed and sideswiped the other at 7:05 p.m. July 8, according to a report filed by deputy Kaylan Miles.

The report states that Eitzen asserted he merely was attempting to drive between the vehicles and to back up in an attempt to go the opposite direction.

The allegation of emotional, angry, upset, or impatient driving, which Miles listed as a contributing factor, was attributed to witness Mareta G. Jones, age not listed, of Peabody.

Her parked 2012 Ford Fiesta sustained damage to its left rear. Eitzen’s 2019 Chevrolet Silverado sustained damage to its left front. The other vehicle, a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee owned by Taylor E. Alexander, age not listed, of Wichita, also sustained damage to its left rear.

The report states that Jones’s and Alexander’s vehicles had no insurance and that no tickets were issued.

Pawnee Rd. south of 170th Rd.

Passenger Justin Chrisjohn, 44, of the same address suffered possible injuries and reportedly rode along to the hospital.

Deputy Joshua Meliza’s report said driving too fast for conditions contributed to the accident and that neither person was wearing a seat belt. However, no tickets were issued.

The car was towed.

Cheryl R. Davis, 47, Lincoln, Nebraska, hit a deer with her 2009 Pontiac G5 at 10:47 p.m. July 14.
