These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

K-15 south of 90th Rd.

Grayson D. Graber, 19, rural Newton, was injured but didn’t require an ambulance after he drove a 1998 Dodge Ram 3500 off the right side of K-15 and into a road marker at 4:08 p.m. Aug. 8.

The pickup then blew a tire and hit a culvert.

Deputy Matthew Regier’s report blamed the accident on distracted driving, but no citations were issued.

The truck, owned by Jeremiah S. Graber of the same address, sustained damage to its front and undercarriage and was towed.

K-15 north of 70th Rd.

Porclein S. Unruh, 19, Newton, was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Newton Medical Center after she drove a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville off the right side of K-15 and hit a culvert at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 9.

The car, owned by Brandon J. Unruh of the same address, sustained damage to its windshield, front, left, right, and undercarriage. It was towed.

Deputy Travis Wilson’s report said inattentive driving contributed to the accident, but no citations were issued.

K-15 north of 180th Rd.

Distracted by an insect that flew into a window of his 2007 Ford F-150, Quentin P. Ghent, 23, McPherson, lost control of the truck and hit a road sign at 11:05 a.m. Aug. 11.

The truck then overturned, sustaining extensive damage, and was towed.
