REPORTED

These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

20th Rd. east of Xavier Rd.

Brandon A. Hayes, 30, Florence, was taken to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, after a 2017 Polaris RZR he said he was operating alone appeared to become unstable at 1:35 a.m. Feb. 13, veered left into a ditch, and rolled over several times.

The all-terrain vehicle, owned by Petra M. Vaughn of Florence, was towed.

A report by deputy Kaylan Miles blamed the accident on reckless or careless and inattentive driving and stated that Hayes’s license was suspended.

The report further stated that Hayes appeared to be intoxicated but that results of an impairment test were pending.

However, the accident was not officially classified as involving drunken driving, and no tickets were reported as being issued.

East of Main and Poplar Sts., Goessel

Turning onto Main St. from an elementary school driveway at 7:51 a.m. Feb. 16, Nancy K. Blankley, 80, Newton, drove her 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer into the side of a 2017 Cadillac XTS being driven west on Main by owner Carol Duerken, 76, rural Goessel.

Although deputy Derek Fetrow’s report stated that Blankley’s license was suspended and that she failed to yield and was driving inattentively, no tickets were reported as being issued.

Angela Siebert, 58, Lincolnville, scraped the right rear fender of her 2019 Buick Encore at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 16 while backing out of a parking stall. Connie Alvaraz, also of Lost Springs, was a passenger.
