These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

K-15 south of 120th Rd.

Rebecca L. Williams, 67, Marion, lost control of her 2007 Lincoln Town Car in freezing rain at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 21.

Her car veered off the roadway to the right, through a ditch, and into an Evergy power pole.

The Lincoln sustained extensive damage and was towed.

US-56/77 north of K-150 roundabout

Michael A. Blake, 23, Park City, lost control of his 2012 Infiniti G37 in blowing snow at 6:42 a.m. Dec. 22 and drove over a roundabout curb, causing disabling damage to the undercarriage of his car, which was towed.

US-50/77 roundabout

Molly K. Garner, 23, Kansas City, Missouri, lost control of her 2018 Kia Soul in blowing snow at 8:32 a.m. Dec. 22 and drove over a roundabout curb, causing disabling damage to the undercarriage of her car, which was towed.

Deputy Landis Goodman’s report also states that she was driving too fast for conditions, but no tickets were issued.

Michael D. Garner, 23, of the same address was a passenger.

Falcon Rd. south of 190th Rd.

Paul D. Penner, 72, Hillsboro, hit a deer with his 2015 GMC Sierra in snowy, windy weather at 5:50 p.m. Dec. 22.

Damage to his pickup was characterized as minor.

K-15 north of US-56

On icy roads at 11:10 a.m. Dec. 26, Melissa A. Hoelting, 31, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, slid her 2011 Subaru Forester into the back of a 2018 Ford F-150 that owner Marvin J. Sprecker, 47, Jones, Oklahoma, had stopped to help another motorist.

Damage to Sprecker’s truck was characterized as minor. However, Hoelting’s sport-utility vehicle sustained disabling damage to its front and windshield and was towed.

Indigo Rd. north of 140th Rd.

Zachary H. Stenzel, 20, Newton, lost control of his 2002 Ford Ranger after hitting a patch of ice at 10:20 a.m. Dec. 27 and over-steering.

The truck, which sustained extensive damage and had to be towed, went through a ditch, rolled completely over, and ended up on its side in a field.

US-56 west of Quail Creek Rd.

Jefferey M. Rouse, 70, Gold Canyon, Arizona, hit a deer at 10:48 p.m. Dec. 28 with his 2016 Nissan Pathfinder, which sustained disabling damage to its front, hood, and passenger side and was towed.

Debora R. Rouse, 64, of the same address was a passenger.

MARION

Thorpe St. south of Lawrence St.

Belladona C. Toy of Florence pulled her 2016 Kia Soul out of a parking lot at 2:15 p.m. Dec. 17 and into the path of a 2017 Nissan Rouge owned and driven by Angela D. Kruse of Junction City.

Damage to both vehicles was characterized as minor. Toy’s Kia was damaged on the driver’s side. Kruse’s Nissan sustained damage to the front driver’s side.

Steven Janzen’s accident report blamed the crash on Toy’s failure to yield, but no tickets were issued.

Barbara J. Davis of Strong City was a passenger in Kruse’s Nissan. Although accident reports are open records under law, ages and addresses of the all people involved were among numerous items redacted by police.

Roosevelt and Weldon Sts.

Krista M. Schneider, Marion, drove her southbound 2015 Acura TLX into a westbound 2005 Buick LeSabre that already had entered an uncontrolled intersection at 12:03 p.m. Thursday, according to officer Duane McCarty’s report.

The report listed Cassandra L. Meyer of Tampa as driver and Mark Meyer, also of Tampa, as owner of the Buick. Although accident reports are open records under law, ages and addresses of the drivers were redacted by police.

The report blamed both drivers — Meyer for inattentiveness and Schneider for failing to yield. No tickets were issued.

Meyer’s car remained drivable with damage to its hood and front passenger’s side. Schneider’s car was towed with disabling damage to its front driver’s side and hood
