These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

K-15 north of 100th Rd.

Dayna S. Schmidt, 40, Chicago, lost control of her 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 5 and struck an Evergy utility pole.

The SUV sustained disabling damage to its front, hood, and the front portion of both sides. It was towed.

Deputy Kaylan Miles’s report blamed the accident on inattentive driving, but no tickets were listed as being issued.

Zadie Jackson, 14, of the same address was a passenger.

Nighthawk Rd. north of 120th Rd.

Madison R. Weaver, 23, Hillsboro, lost control of her 2002 Dodge Dakota on icy roads at 6:56 a.m. Thursday, driving it into a ditch and striking a mailbox.

Her pickup sustained damage termed disabling to its left front, left rear, and right rear but was removed without calling a tow truck.

Nighthawk Rd. north of 170th Rd.

Swerving to miss a deer at 5:03 p.m. Thursday, Jacob S. Smith, 35, rural Marion, drove his 2012 Ford Focus off the road and into a Flint Hills Rural Electric utility pole.

His car sustained damage termed disabling to its hood and was towed.
