These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Main St. east of Elm St., Marion

A deer ran into the side of a 2022 Ford F-150 at 12:38 a.m. Jan. 28. Driver Kelly J. Schaefers, 44, Marion, drove home before reporting the accident at 12:51 a.m.

Her pickup sustained damage characterized as minor to its driver’s side door. Travis J. Schaefers, 47, and Trevor N. Schaefers, 18, were passengers at the time.

The accident was investigated by a deputy sheriff because of a shortage of Marion police.

340th Rd. west of Indigo Rd.

A 2012 Ford F-250 was listed as destroyed after it caught fire at 12:45 p.m. Jan. 28 while parked along the side of the road.

Driver John A. Fenili, 76, Goddard, said he had stepped out of his truck to check it when he notice smoke coming from its undercarriage.

Jeffery W. Boundy, 66, of a different Goddard address was a passenger.

120th Rd. east of Goldenrod Rd.

Crystal D. Blankley, 38, Goessel, hit a deer at 6 p.m. Thursday with her 2017 Chevrolet Equinox. The sport-utility vehicle remained drivable despite damage to its hood and left front.
