REPORTED

These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-77 south of 290th Rd.

A deer hit by a southbound semi-trailer truck at 5:28 p.m. Aug. 10 was thrown onto a rented northbound 2021 Ford F-150 driven by Tyler P. Blythe, 27, White City, causing damage characterized as minor to its left rear.

120th Rd. east of Chisholm Trail Rd.

Dena D. Odell, 54, rural Goessel, hit a deer at 7 a.m. Thursday with her 2020 Nissan Altima, which remained drivable despite damage to its left front, hood, and undercarriage.

HILLSBORO

A St. east of Main St.

Rodney L. Lauer, 79, Canton, backed his 2013 Ford F-350 out of a diagonal parking stall at 1:35 p.m. Aug. 16 and into a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado legally parked in a parallel-parking space across the street, according to officer John Huebert’s report.

Damage to the F-350 was listed as negligible. The Silverado, owned by Katelyn R. Seaman of Hillsboro, sustained left rear damage described as minor.

Lauer, who left the scene, told police he had been unaware of the accident. A worker nearby witnessed it and identified him to Seaman. Huebert then used surveillance video to verify that Lauer’s truck had been in Hillsboro at the time and fit the characteristics of whatever vehicle hit Seaman’s truck.

No citations were issued.
