AGAPE center prepares events

Senior Citizens of Marion County Incorporated will recognize Irvin Goertzen on Friday for representing District 3 on the board for six years. Darlene Schroeder will be the district’s new representative.

Goessel pool players will host the Hesston pool team Dec. 16 in the morning. Spectators are welcome to cheer on the team.

Progressive Health will provide foot care, blood sugar, and blood pressure checks Monday at AGAPE Senior Center in Goessel.

AGAPE will have a special meal Dec. 22 with a Christmas meditation after the meal by Hope Greiser-Graber.

Music will be provided Dec. 29 by 4-year-old violinist Haniah Duerksen, granddaughter of LeNora Duerksen. There will also be dulcimer, guitar, and melody harp music by Rick, Denise, and Jasmine Woelk.

The center has some open dates available for holiday gatherings. The suggested donation to reserve the center is $25.

To reserve meals at the center, for pickup, or delivery, call (620) 367-2275. Office hours are 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
