In effort to benefit county underprivileged children, the 21st annual Marion County Toy Run will begin at 1 p.m. Nov. 1 at Sher Bowl Lanes in Marion.
Participants are asked to bring one new toy as an entry fee. After the run, toys will be collected for distribution at Hillsboro State Bank in Hillsboro.
A chili feed and auction will be held after the Toy Run at Hillsboro American Legion Post 366. Toys and money raised goes to community Christmas trees and area ministerial organizations to provide a better holiday for Marion County children.
Over $147,000 has been raised through the Toy Run in the past 20 years.
The event is sponsored by Sons of American Legion 366, ABATE of Kansas District 9, and Route 56 Classic Cruisers.
Donations may be sent to the Marion County Toy Run, care of Hillsboro SAL 366, 405 S. Floral Dr. Hillsboro KS 67063, or contact one of the sponsoring organizations.
