Ardella J. Brunner, 77, of Herington died Aug. 31 at her home.

Born May 22, 1937, in Geary County to Floyd F. and Lois D. (Adam) Kemph, she was a nurse aide at the Lutheran Home in Herington for many years.

She married Maynard H. Brunner on Oct. 15, 1953, in Junction City. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1987. She was also preceded by her parents and her son, Michael “Buddah” Brunner.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Brunner of Herington; four brothers: Bill of Walton, and Cecil, Floyd, and Stan of Newton; three sisters: Twila McRae of Reeds Port, Ore., Carol Baker of Prattville, Ala., and Sylvia Roberts of Arkansas City.

A funeral was Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Herington with pastor Bill Peterson officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
