Services for Arlene Anna (Thomsen) Kleinschmidt, 77, who died Saturday in Hillsboro, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lincolnville.
Pastor Alan Stahlecker will officiate. Burial will follow at Vesper Cemetery in Lincoln County.
Visitation will be an hour before services at the church.
Born July 30, 1944, in Salina to Harold Thomsen and Lanora (Witte) Thomsen. she grew up on her family’s farm near Shady Bend, graduated from Beverly High School, attended Kansas State University, and graduated from Saint Mary’s College, Leavenworth.
After a short teaching career and settling in Lincolnville, she operated a tax preparation and accounting business out of the home for 36 years. In 2011 she moved to Parkside Homes, Hillsboro.
She married Robert Kleinschmidt on Aug. 8, 1964, in rural Lincoln County. He died in 2007. A brother, John Thomsen, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters Kelli Walker of Kansas City, Missouri, and Holly Erway of Salem, Missouri; son Jeffrey Kleinschmidt of Denver; sisters Margaret Haynes, Mary Swisher and Lana Klager; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with the church and with Grace Place Ministries to support missionary work of grandson Zachary Erway.
