The University of Kansas school of engineering honored its graduates May 17 at a recognition ceremony. More than 300 students at the graduate and undergraduate levels earned the right to take part in the ceremony.
During the ceremony, nine undergraduate students were honored, including Emily Julianna Arnold of Hillsboro, as an outstanding graduating senior in aerospace engineering. The distinction recognizes involvement and leadership as well as academic ability.
The Hillsboro High School graduate earned an aerospace engineering degree and is the daughter of Don and Gayla Ratzlaff of Hillsboro.
